Clearly one of my favorite WHS as you can see my rating.

The city is lovely but nothing rare. But the height of the visit is the Sainte-Cécile cathedral. On the outside, this brick construction looks heavy and a little be austere, even disappointing. But...but...when you enter inside it's the stupefaction. I didn't expect it at all. The bright colours of the walls and the ceiling remain Italian baroque paintings. It's totally amazing. Everything is painted as it was the case during the Middle Age. The rood screen is very beautiful too, a finely and chiselled work.

The paintings are very clear, especially under the majestic organ.

But it's not the end...further, behind the rood screen, you discover the stalls...wow...the mix of the blue ceiling and the red and blue stalls are astounding. You maybe think i am exaggerating but I was very charmed of the interior of the cathedral, just my feeling. The statues are also interesting...well...i guess you have understood my opinion of this WHS.
