Angola
Angola ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on November 7, 1991, and currently has a single cultural site inscribed. The entry, Mbanza Kongo, reflects themes of a historic African kingdom, sacred and political urban architecture, and the intersection of indigenous and European influences following Portuguese contact.
