Jamaica
Jamaica accepted the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 14 June 1983. It has one inscription to date. Its tentative nominations include cultural sites such as the Underwater City of Port Royal and Seville Heritage Park, plus a mixed ecological area. Recurring themes among Jamaica’s nominations are Maroon heritage, colonial-era archaeology, rainforest and montane biodiversity, and human‑environment interaction.
