Mauritius
Mauritius ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 19 September 1995. Its inscribed sites are cultural, including the Aapravasi Ghat and Le Morne Cultural Landscape, which reflect the island’s indentured labour history and the maroon legacy . Its tentative list further includes natural sites—such as Black River Gorges National Park—emphasizing endemic biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.
