Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea accepted the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on July 28, 1997. It has one inscribed site of cultural significance: the Kuk Early Agricultural Site, an archaeological landscape showcasing ancient wetland farming systems and independent agricultural origins. Its Tentative List is exclusively mixed-value, featuring diverse properties—from karst landscapes and marine biodiversity hotspots to river basins and wartime trails.
