Sao Tome and Principe
São Tomé and Príncipe ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 25 July 2006. The nation currently has no inscribed World Heritage sites, but its Tentative List features both cultural and natural properties. Proposed themes include former colonial cocoa and coffee plantations (“roças”) reflecting industrial heritage and architecture, alongside volcanic island landscapes and biodiverse forest reserves.
