Uganda
Uganda accepted the UNESCO World Heritage Convention in 1987. It currently has three inscribed sites: two natural—Rwenzori Mountains and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest—and one cultural site, the Tombs of Buganda Kings at Kasubi, reflecting its dual commitment. Its tentative list includes both archaeological earthworks (e.g., Bigo bya Mugyenyi, Ntusi, rock art) and natural reserves emphasising conservation of mountain and rainforest biodiversity.
