Parc national de Moukalaba Doudou is a national park with a variety of ecosystems, from tropical rainforests to shrubby savannas. The park is inhabited by gorillas, elephants, hippos, antelopes and migratory birds, while the plant communities are highly endemic. There are also sacred sites where archaeological excavations have revealed an ancient human occupation.
