Aire de protection de la flore et de la faune Cuat
Cuatrociénegas is a reserve comprising canyons, salt saturated alluvial plains, low hills, a large area of gypsum dunes, swamps, streams, marshes and lagoons. The isolation of the area has favoured the presence of about 150 endemic species. These include many unique vascular plants, three endemic turtles, ten endemic fish, and several endemic invertebra (crustaceans, freshwater snails, scorpions).
