Anavilhanas Ecological Station
Anavilhanas Ecological Station covers an archipelago of over 400 islands within the Rio Negro riverbed. The location of islands and channels changes overtime due to seasonal changes in water levels, floods and sedimentation. Anavilhanas has already been inscribed as part of the “Central Amazon Conservation Complex” WHS.
