Ancient Residences in Shanxi and Shaanxi Provinces
Two locations, Dingcun Village and Dingcun Village, boast ancient residences constructed during the Ming and Qing Dynasty. These houses are on a grand scale, in an imposing manner, and puffed up with self-importance, which shows its owners show off their wealth while looking down upon the poor. Dingcun Village has the remains of 40 dwellings. These domiciles are divided into three groups, and are arranged in a compact and symmetrical design.
