Anthedon Harbour
Anthedon Harbour is an archaeological site located in the Gaza strip about two kilometres north of the modern port of Gaza. Anthedon was inhabited from the Mycenaean to the Byzantine period, and had its heyday during the Hellenistic period when it became an independent city. The archaeological remains include a Roman temple, villas, parts of the city walls and port structures.
