Boubyan Island
Boubyan Island and its surrounding marine reserve lie in the Arabian Gulf. Extensive intertidal flooding reduces the land area every day by 40% between low tide and high tide. It is important for breeding and migratory birds such as the Crab Plover. Marine mammals include Indo-pacific humpback dolphins,, bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins and finless porpoises.
