Hainan Rainforests
The Hainan Tropical Rainforest and the Traditional Settlement of the Li Ethnic Group are centered on Wuzhishan, a mountain covered with subtropical evergreen forests and monsoon rainforests.
The forests are home to animal species such as the critically endangered Hainan Gibbon. The local Li people have built cave dwellings since prehistoric times and still live in traditional villages.
