Khandria

WHS Score 0.0 Votes 0
Khandria is part of the Troodos ophiolite, a 90 million year old fragment of extremely well-preserved oceanic crust. Example of magmatic processes can be seen, such as a small area of foliated gabbro (“igneous rock formed from the slow cooling of magnesium-rich and iron-rich magma into a holocrystalline mass deep beneath the Earth's surface”).
