Qajartalik
The Qajartalik Petroglyph Site is a unique archaeological site that bears witness to a lost cultural tradition: the Dorset, who inhabited the coasts of Nunavik from 2,200 to 1,000 years before today and disappeared before the arrival of the Thule-Inuit. . Qajartalik is a unique rock site in the Arctic which brings together countless petroglyphs designed from a single motif, that of the face, which can be found engraved in very varied shapes and sizes on soapstone rocks.
