Qasr Bshir
Qasr Bshir is a fort from the Roman period, dated by building inscription to 293-306 AD. It was built as part of the Limes Arabiae et Palestinae in a strategic location on a hill, being the first line of defense at the desert edge against nomadic Arabs. It had towers at all four corners and flanking the gate.
