Réserve Spéciale d'Anjanaharibe-Sud is one of the largest remaining contiguous tracts of eastern tropical rainforest in Madagascar. The biodiversity of this vast area is among the highest in the country, especially in terms of plant species such as ferns and palms. Anjanaharibe-Sud is also a centre of diversity for amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals with high local endemism.
