Route de l'esclave en Afrique segment de Timbo au Rio Pongo an associative landscape linked to the slave route in West Africa. The village of Farinhya, located on a deep estuary, was an important stopover in the slave trade and an active trading post. The village has remains of this trading establishment, including the ruins of a trading post, of a soap factory, of a powder magazine, of the first Anglican church on the Gulf of Guinea, as well as many slave graves and ancient cannons.
