Selvagens Islands
The Selvagens Islands are an uninhabited group of islands off the North African Atlantic coast, 300 kilometres south of Madeira and 165 kilometres north of the Canary Islands. Due to their remote and isolated location, the Selvagens Islands have a unique flora and fauna and are the habitat for numerous endemic species. The Selvagens Islands are one of the most important breeding areas for seabirds in the North Atlantic, and are classified as an Important Bird Area.
