The Seruwila Mangala Raja Maha Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple, holding the sacred forehead bone of Buddha. It dates from the 2nd century BC. The site is accessible both from land and sea. It was rediscovered only in 1922 and is in use again since 2009.
