Sierra del Divisor National Park is a gigantic national park protecting a representative sample of the tropical mountain forests in the Amazon basin. It includes a wide variety of ecosystems (forests, hills and wetlands) and geological formations independent from the Andes (sandstone hills, volcanic formations). It is a region of megadiversity of fauna and flora, including rare, threatened and endemic species.
