Sri Veerabhadra Temple and Monolithic Bull

WHS Score 0.0 Votes 0
The Sri Veerabhadra Temple and Monolithic Bull, both located in the town of Lepakshi, are the best examples of the Vijayanagara Sculpture and Painting Art Tradition. The temple holds the only surviving fresco paintings of the mid-Vijayanagara Period (15C). The Nandi (bull), carved out of a single granite rock, is a prime example of its sculptures.
