Tendaguru Paleontological Site
The Tendaguru Paleontological Site is where some of the most important fossil specimens were found from the “Age of Dinosaurs”. The area also was home to one of the largest Dinosaurs ever to live in Africa: Giraffatitan brancai. The fossils have been preserved in the sandstone rock formation. Findings uncovered by a German archaeological excavation team in the early 20th century, are in the Berlin Natural History Museum.
