Thaba-Bosiu National Monument
Thaba-Bosiu National Monument is a sandstone plateau that was the capital of Lesotho, as King Moshoeshoe's stronghold. It was from this plateau that the King fended off attackers such as Shaka Zulu soldiers and Afrikaners. Protection by the British in 1868 was agreed here as well. It remains a place of remembrance for members of the Royal Family and the country.
